Chances are, if you have attended a HE Fair, you’ve got enough free pens to last you the next few years and you’ve developed new muscles from carrying multiple bags of prospectuses around with you. Alongside the freebies, HE Fairs are a great opportunity to learn more about the many higher education providers out there and think about what is best for you.

The amount of choices available can be daunting, but it’s important to consider a whole host of options and think about what is important to you. Some of the things you might like to think about are:

  • Does the university offer your course?
  • Does the course content cover everything you want to learn?
  • Are there opportunities for work experience?
  • Are there opportunities to study abroad?
  • What do graduates go on to do?
  • What do current and past students say?
  • What about the location – could you see yourself living there?

While prospectuses contain lots of great information, it’s also worth doing a bit of further research on different universities’ websites and getting in touch with them if there’s anything you’re unsure of.  If you have any questions about University Centre Shrewsbury, feel free to contact us. Simply email, and one of our friendly HE Advisers will get back to you.

One of the best ways to decide on whether a specific university is right for you is to attend an Open Day and get a feel for it first-hand. Alongside getting to hear about the courses in more depth, there’s also the chance to view facilities and meet current students and staff.

University Centre Shrewsbury has Open Events coming up on the following dates:

  • Saturday 19th October: Open Day
  • Thursday 21st November: Open Evening

You can view details and book your place on our website.
