Nicole is the Co-Programme Leader for the Musical Theatre course here at University Centre Shrewsbury.

What is a typical day at work for you?

Every day is so different! From leading dance technique classes at Theatre Severn to rehearsing Gone Missing, there is never a dull moment. It really is non-stop!

What is your favourite thing about your job?

The students I teach and the team I work alongside. I have the pleasure of working with an incredible group of people - students and staff alike - who are all so passionate about our programme. I truly love my job!

What has been your proudest moment whilst working at the University?

Seeing the students SMASH their dance assessment. To see their growth over the course of the year, I swelled with pride watching them shift across the studio with such confidence.

Do you have any exciting upcoming projects?

Watch out for our next Pros from the Shows Masterclass on the 3rd July 2019! Join us for a fantastic three-hour musical theatre dance workshop for 16-24-year-olds. Alongside a technique and repertoire class, you will have the opportunity to take part in a Q&A with a West End star!

What is the best thing about the course?

We are able to create amazing experiences together, from watching Company on the West End to taking a tap class with a 42nd Street dancer, both here in Shrewsbury and beyond we take great pride in finding new opportunities to enrich our student's experience.

If you could have a superpower what would you choose?

The ability to fly, without a shadow of a doubt.

What might people not know about you?

I am a proud mum to two curly haired little boys, they are my world!

What is the best piece of advice that you could give to a student?

Enjoy every moment of your training, it goes too quickly.
