Course:

I’ve had lots of highlights at UCS such as the experiences I have gone through with my degree, volunteering at events and starting to build a network within Shrewsbury town.

Events and Festivals Management Graduate Shannon transferred from another university and through the volunteering opportunities, staff support and the town itself, had a fantastic experience studying in Shrewsbury.

"I’ve had lots of highlights at UCS such as the experiences I have gone through with my degree, volunteering at events and starting to build a network within Shrewsbury town. Also, meeting lots of new friends, one of those that will be my best friend for life. As well as meeting some of the staff, they really care and become a massive support system for you! They were always helpful and accessible when you needed them, some went above and beyond to check I was ok too. The level of support is amazing.

Please know that you won’t experience the typical ‘uni life’ you hear of and see on movies, but instead you will become part of such an amazing and unique community. Shrewsbury boasts an amazing town for students! It’s just not as big as a city. Be confident, be social, be open-minded but be true to yourself, the level of care within UCS staff and students is unreal. Ask for help when you need it because it’s always there."
